thank you Glen Keane! I’ve always likened Gothel’s feelings for Rapunzel to one’s feelings for a plant (calling her “my flower,” plus Rapunzel was literally born from a flower) or for a carpet (my mother collects carpets haha). I hope this ends the Gothel/Rapunzel did-she-love-her debate. Glen Keane has spoken!
